Farm and family histories
I’m available to write family and farm histories that would make a great heirloom for loved ones to cherish for years and can be passed down to children and extended family.
To produce the history, I would sit down with family for an in-depth, recorded interview where I would interview families about their past and present. The interview will include a discussion of the photos that should be included in the farm history.
I would write the family history, timeline and use the provided photos to produce a booklet.
Two edits will be provided — the first edit will be a copy of the history and timeline, and the second edit will be a proof of the final publication.
I’m a writer with more than 25 years of experience writing for newspapers, magazines, and nonprofit organizations.
Rates for writing a family history start at $1,050 depending on the size and scope of the project.

Specialty booklets
Look for specialty booklets, focusing on agriculture in the Puget Sound region, to be published in an online format, sometime in the middle of 2026. I’m researching online formats and possible topics.
